Hello, seeker!
This Quarterly course is an opportunity to learn the Tarot from a Rewilded, personal-growth centered perspective, while sitting in the sacred container of Circle. The theme of this quarter is one of the Major Arcana - The Devil.
COURSE CONTENT
WHAT IS REWILDING THE TAROT
Rewilding the Tarot is a non-linear approach to what is at its heart a wild, living system of working wisdom, magic and truth. By centering you, the seeker, and connecting the mysteries and stories held within the Tarot to your own personal life experience, inner archetypes and sense of self, the wisdom of the tarot can boldly emerge with greater depth and diversity, and a wider, more applicable scope for practice and processes.
An act of dismantling the patriarchy within the tarot and within us, it is an approach that is cyclical - both in content and context, and by nature of being shared in the sacred container of Circle. It is an exploration of the meanings and threads that keep us ‘in relationship with’ rather than ‘separated by’, serving to empower and liberate, rather than confine and divide.
Exploring the Tarot while sitting in Circle together offers a unique, more embodied and personal way of discovering the cards and their meanings. Beyond ‘this cards means that’ type learning, we combine the intellectualised and esoteric concepts the tarot is based on with ritual, guided meditations, story and myth, and intuitive development processes. We begin mapping our own connections with the themes, archetypes and medicine that presents itself in each card, bringing the tarot to life within us. It also allows for practice amongst like-minded fellow seekers that you will journey with over time, creating a trusted network of supportive humans to explore the tarot with.
This Quarter’s theme is The Devil, in which we will be exploring the themes, archetypes, traditional and rewilded meanings of the card, and exploring the shadow, the dark, and underworlds.
YOU MAY FEEL THE CALL TO THIS CIRCLE IF YOU WISH TO:
· commit more deeply to your own self-understanding, growth and healing
· connect with the tarot within a cyclical, rewilded framework, that emplaces you within it and fosters embodied understanding of it’s wisdom and magic
· be mentored in related esoteric practices like astrology, witchcraft, ritual, women’s mysteries and the earthly seasonal cycles
· journey closely and consistently with like minded women, creating a supportive, safe container for community and sisterhood
· allow for more time and detail than larger groups or courses allow in each participants sharing, for group discussion and questions, and to invite more of our true and emergent selves to speak, listen, and be held
· collect the tools, knowledge and confidence to create or enrich your own sacred practices and self-care, whilst developing inner trust and intuition
· learn about and follow the seasonal wheel of the year together with ritual and embodied practices for both during and outside of circles
· reclaim and heal your own sacred archetypes - such as healer, medicine person, witch, mother, lover, seer, priestess, wild self – which have been devalued, repressed, shamed or wounded in this life, generationally, and archetypally over thousands of years
