Once, power, medicine and knowing was our birthright.

We were once initiated into power and magic as naturally as the seasons turned. Humble, powerful skills passed down by our grandmothers, which they had learned from their grandmothers, were shared in such natural mundanity that we may not have even noticed we were receiving a wise inheritance to begin with. Rites of Passage were not only remembered and observed, but celebrated, and when you stepped over the threshold from one thing to another, you were welcomed for the emergent, new-born self that you were.

Most of us have not moved through life in this way. In fact, many of us began this life with roots and sacred inheritances severed from birth. Our unbelonged, disconnected existence is then firmly perpetuated by our colonists culture, and the patriarchal values we have been born into. Despite this, many of us still feel a longing within that often can’t be named - a yearning that pulls at our ear lobes and throbs at our hearts and begs in our bellys - a longing to live a purposed life, that centres our soul, welcomes our magic, and surrounds us with supportive, like-hearted community.

This longing often sets us up for a self-initiation, or perhaps many of them, into a more purposed, connected, wild life, and it comes differently to us all. It may have come when you left a lucrative job that wasn’t in line with your heart, to the disbelief and dismay of friends or family. It might have been a moment in nature that called you into such presence that suddenly you remembered yourself so deeply belonged that you would never forget it, and could no longer live in separation. Or perhaps it was when the practices and physicians that are supposed to help and heal instead left you feeling unseen, powerless, and believing yourself unfixable, that began the long journey to healing yourself - and so shifting the path from outside of us, to within.

This Sacred Mentorship is an offering to those who have heard the call of their wild soul’s longing, and are devoted to answering it.

It is a year long journey which is apprentice-centred - not teacher or content centred. This means each mentorship looks and wild-smells a little different as it is meeting you where you are at, for what you need and what you most fully hope for yourself. It is a weaving with many potential core threads that you can choose to lean more strongly toward - from tarot to astrology, herbalism to animistic connection, spirit work to crafting. But something that this cloth will bear regardless of the threads chosen, is an uncovering of an ancient pathway deep within you that longs to be trod with spirited guidance, safety and wise holding.

It is my heartfelt hope that above all else, this offering is a homecoming to you, wholly. But it is especially for the parts of you that answer to old, part-forgotten names like WITCH, HEALER, MAGICIAN, MEDICINE WOMAN, WISE MAN, MIDWIFE, ALCHEMIST, ONE-WHO-KNOWS. That it offers a remembering of belonging, simply by the fact that these paths lay open to you here or elsewhere - always, in all ways. May your longing always lead you down the wildest, most fulfilling of paths.
