PRODUCT FAQ
Do you use organic ingredients?
Most of the ingredients I use are organic. If they are not, they are sourced from a reputable, local and/or ethical source that perhaps isn't certified for one reason or another. All herbal materials (dried herbs and herb ingredients) are organic, without exception. Some of the essential oils are not, but are of high grade. If you want to know about a specific ingredient, please contact me directly.
I am always striving to source organic, sustainable, ethical and local where possible ingredients, and am regularly updating suppliers to do this.
How do you minimise your environmental impact?
At least 90% of the packaging used to send orders to you is recycled, or not plastic based. This is why you will find only a small amount of bubble wrap/filling in your order, and when you do find it, it will be packaging I received and have recycled, never newly bought. I also request from my suppliers that they use as little plastic as possible in their packaging.
Our product packaging is always sourced from materials other than plastic where available. Unfortunately I have not been able to completely avoid it, but I am doing my best. An example - the 20ml dropper bottle with bamboo lids have a small plastic insert so you can screw it on to the glass bottle. It is also why the Mist packaging is glass, with a partly metal atomiser.
I am currently working towards enviro friendly labels. I also have a 'pick-up' alternative for local clients to avoid the post and reduce our carbon footprint.
Do you offer bulk orders or discounts?
Yes. Discounts depend on how much you are thinking of ordering. Email me to chat about what you have in mind.
Do you make custom products?
Yes! Email me to chat about what you have in mind.
Do you ship overseas?
Yes we do! At the moment we have shipping options set up for the USA and the UK. If you would like something shipped elsewhere, contact me and I can give you a shipping quote. Please keep in mind that products going overseas will undergo scans and x-rays, which may affect the integrity of the herbal and energetic products.
Is Stripe the only way you accept payment?
I also accept direct bank deposit, however my website platform does not support that method. If you would like to place an order and pay via direct deposit, please email me at hello@rebeccaholly.com.au with your order and we can organise payment from there.
Do you make stock bottles of your essences for practitioners to use?
Yes! Please contact me directly to place an order or enquire about costs etc, and include some form of proof of your practice such as a link to a website or facebook page, or photo of a business card.
I am taking prescribed medications, or have a complicated health history. Is it ok to use your internal herbal products such as herbal teas?
This is extremely difficult to answer, as everyone's case is so unique. If you are taking medications, you can do an interactions check, however many herbs simply don't have the data for us to know for sure of interactions. The best answer is to be safe rather than sorry. If you are seeing a Naturopath, I recommend asking them what they think. Always separate your medications by at least a couple of hours from any herbal medicine products, unless otherwise prescribed to you by a practitioner.
If you are really keen on a particular product, feel free to email me. As a qualified Naturopath myself I may be able to answer some simple questions, but I also may not if things are too complex. You are also welcome to book yourself in for an appointment if you want to really address some health issues in greater depth.
I think I'm experiencing an adverse reaction to one of your products. What do i do?
If the reaction is serious - breathing changes, dizziness or fainting, intense tingling or swelling (especially of the mouth, throat or lips), sudden onset of severe pain etc. then immediately call 000 (or your local emergency services). Bring the product you are concerned about with you if you are able, but only if it doesn't slow you down getting to the hospital. Once things have settled and you are safe, please contact me as soon as possible.
If the reaction is not severe, start by immediately ceasing use of the products you are suspecting have caused a reaction, and contact me to discuss at hello@rebeccaholly.com.au.
HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINES
The information on the Rebecca Holly site does not claim to offer individual health advice.
We believe deeply in self-responsibility. To us, that means applying common sense and discernment when making choices involving your physical, mental or emotional wellbeing. We advocate for integrating any changes to your current health care regime with the guidance of a qualified health care professional. The reason for this is that we are all individual, and have unique patterns of physiology, differing health history's, and wildly varying health needs. It is not within the scope of the information provided on this site to provide advice or recommend changes to the way you look after yourself.
Safety of Herbal & Homeopathic products.
By nature, many herbal medicines and homeopathics are gentle and safe. However some are also immensely powerful and should only be used under the supervision of a qualified Naturopath, Herbalist or Homeopath. The herbs, essences and homeopathics we choose to use in our product formulations are known for their historically proven safety profiles, and gentleness. This does not however mean you may not be sensitive or allergic to something, or that it could be contraindicated for your health. Please consider your health history and any allergies you have before purchasing any of our products.
Herbal Medicines & Pregnancy.
Our internal herbal medicine products have individual directions as to whether or not they are safe to take during pregnancy. Safety however does not mean it is right for you, or that you should take it. If you are ever unsure of the use of a herb during pregnancy, then please seek the assistance of a qualified Naturopath or Herbalist.
It is also important to note that some of our oils and mists contain essential oils that are not recommended during pregnancy. In these forms and dilutions it is unlikely they will have a disruptive effect, however we always recommend caution and/or avoidance to be safe.
