Sacred Anatomy of Flowers & Essence Making - A Workshop

  • The Old Cheese Factory - 'Old Shop' Function Room 34 Homestead Road Berwick, VIC, 3806 Australia (map)

Weaving traditional folk knowledge with intuitive and heart based wisdom together, this Summer Workshop invites you into relationship with the medicine and magic of Flowers as both Herbal and Energetic medicines. This is an opportunity to connect deeply with both the medicine of the Flower realm, and yourself as healer, herbalist, and medicine person. Diving into the 'Sacred Anatomy' of flowers you will become equipped with knowledge you need to confidently connect with and make medicine from any flower ally that crosses your path.

Together we will…

- talk deeply about four very special summer wild flowers - Yarrow, St John's Wort, Queen Anne's Lace and Rose - all of which can be found wild in the Victorian landscape, and which are abundant and relevant for High Summer

- look at both the physical and sacred anatomy of flowers, and learn about some of the inherent characteristics and virtues of this beautiful and special part of the plant including some astrological significations

- develop your confidence, self-trust and intuition around working with plants through a guided process to connect with a flower ally specific to you on the day

- make your own flower essence mother tincture to take home along with two dose bottles, and learn how to best store, label, dose and use your newly created medicine. This includes guidance and time to sit, connect with and listen to a flower ally of your choice from the beautiful gardens and plants in our surrounds.

- look at issues such as sustainability and ethical plant relationships, safe and compassionate harvesting, and balancing heart, mind and intuitive knowings relating to plant's characteristics and virtues
